STTARR PATHOLOGY ANALYSIS WORKSHOP

Announcing the 2nd Annual Pathology Image Analysis Training workshop on Friday, 20 th July 2018 at the STTARR Innovation Centre in the MaRS Complex East Tower (Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower). This STTARR workshop is designed to inform and train interested parties in the use of Definiens TissueStudio image analysis software. The image analysis core of STTARR has many years of experience in utilizing Definiens TissueStudio platform, and custom-built post-processing analysis tools, that are offered on a fee-for-service basis to any users in the Toronto area wishing to perform image analysis.

Definiens is a market leader in digital tissue pathology analysis, particularly for complex immune-oncology related biomarkers. It is used by many pharmaceutical companies for biomarker discovery to identify meaningful companion diagnostics. TissueStudio can analyze brightfield, immunofluorescence, or imaging mass cytometry data, in a reproducible, batch format with built-in quality control/manual correction. In addition to covering usage of this software, we will review general principles for effective analysis of digital pathology images, and provide hands-on training for researchers wishing to perform quantitative analysis on their images

Target Audience: Graduate students, technicians, research associates, PI’s, and postdocs requiring image analysis skills. This course will provide a solid foundation for quantitative evaluation of immunostained slides, helping to optimize your image analysis methods for the most reliable data from your images.
